The winners of the men's fours are Gary Cotton (s), Bryan Chapman (3), Mike Hadrup (2) and Mladen Sokol (L). Runner up was Neil Fisher (s), Joseph Ou-Yang (3), Bevan Congdon (2) and Tony Botica (L).
The final appeared to have slipped away from Cotton when the score was 16-9 with three ends to play. The fourteenth end was a turning point in the game when Fisher found himself with only one bowl on the head. Cotton drove off Fisher's bowl to pick up a five. Now trailing by only two, the door was slightly ajar. Cotton's team responded to the pressure and out-drew Fisher's team on the next head to pick up a six. Cotton had waltzed through the door and virtually slammed it shut behind him. Leading by four shots, they picked up the last end to win the game.
